New York, New York (August 7, 2015) – Daniel J. Yip, principal of Nexus Business Consulting, a private business consulting company (www.nexusbc.com), received the 2015 Servant Leadership Award by ALPFA, the Association of Latino Professionals for America (www.alpfa.org).
The prestigious award recognizes an outstanding Latino ALPFA member who has excelled in his service, contribution, and leadership to ALPFA. “I am both honored and humbled to have been selected as the recipient for this award,” said Mr. Yip, “I look forward to continuing to serve ALPFA and the Latino community not only in the South Florida area but also across the country.”
Mr. Yip is a lifetime member of ALPFA, currently serving in multiple roles for the ALPFA Miami chapter: as a member of the chapter’s strategic board as well as the coordinator of the chapter’s IT and marketing segments. He has been on the chapter board since 2009. In 2010 he was awarded one of ten ALPFA/University of Phoenix Leadership Scholarships. Most recently, Mr. Yip was named to the ALPFA Board of Directors, to begin his term on October 1, 2015.
On Mr. Yip’s contributions to the ALPFA Miami chapter, chapter president Brett Friedman (Partner at McGladrey LLP) said “Dan has made himself indispensable to ALPFA with his dedication to quality and desire to help others succeed. He is a jack-of-all trades: IT coordinator, event planner, graphic designer, and communications specialist. Whether it be creating a key deliverable or high quality event or spearheading a vital chapter initiative, Dan is someone who does whatever is needed. He is a friend, colleague, and mentor to many ALPFA members not only in the Miami area but also across the country.”
